Starbucks Sunday

After a day spent mostly horizontal with a bad back, I made a tentative trip to Starbucks at Rhostyllen yesterday evening, to leave a couple of surprises.

A white knitted jumper with little pastel flowers hanging from a window ledge in the toilets

And then a sweet little clutch  bag / purse with green pattern, left on the window sill where I'd been sitting. I had to be extra stealthy about this one and make a fairly speedy exit.

Here's hoping to hear from coffee lover or two.

Fast Response from Newtown

I've already had a reply from the scarf left in Newtown yesterday - received last night at 9pm from Judy Phillips ands Tia Marie the Husky!

Here's the lovely message which accompanied the photo:

Yellow and blue scarf blowing on Dolerau Bridge in Newtown POWYS

Our 8 Month old Tia Marie , a baby husky. spotted your scarf and actually barked at it, despite being very hot!

We have taken her photograph for you, wearing it, it will be attatched top her panniers on the long walk she and her older 'sister' Simmie are taking over the Pyranees ( St James Walk) with my husband and son in a couple of years!

Amazing - thank you Judy and Tia Marie!!

Newtown and Wrexham

Yesterday I kicked off a new season of With Love activitiy.

First drop around 9.30am was this bright yellow top with lace detail, left hanging in a tree outside Oriel Davies Gallery in Newtown, Mid Wales.

Secondly, at around 12.30pm this blue and yellow patterned scarf, left on a foot bridge over the river in Newtown.

Then lastly for yesterday, a grey and white stripey skirt left in the foyer of the Pant Yr Ochain pub in Wrexham, North Wales, just before closing time.

More to come in and around Wrexham this next week so keep your eyes open!

It's been a while

since I posted any updates on here. So long in fact that Blogger has changed its format and I've had a bit of trouble creating a post at all.

I have to admit that for several months now there have been two exciting responses sitting in my inbox waiting to be revealed. So without further ado, here they are.

As it's been such a long time I thought I'd include pictures of where I left the items initially. The first is a blue scarf, which was the very first thing I distributed as part of the Woolgather Art Prize 2011.

And here it is some months later taking part in a Circus-tastic fancy dress - thank you to the lovely Lucy Dunn for sending this picture!

Next, another blue scarf from back in the Woolgather day (I seem to remember there were loads of blue scarves in that part of the project?!)...again from the opening night this one. Something tells me the party must have been in full swing at the time of tying this scarf to a bench surrounded by bare-footed boys outside the gallery...

I'm happy to say it has clearly been having a much more dignified time since then, adorning the neck of fabulous Helen. Huge thank you to David Beatson for sending me this lovely set of images.

something shiny.

Here's the latest reply I received, from the lovely Annie Povey who found the sequined bag I left in the town hall in Llangollen last week. Perfectly teamed with this stunner of a dress.

Thank you Annie! x

Last week in Llangollen

Here are the bits and pieces I left around Llangollen during the Fringe Festival last week.

A blue pencil skirt on the railings of the Methodist Church by the river

This little oriental looking bag, in a handy alcove by the Wrexham bus stop.

This pretty green and silver knitted top, hanging in an apple tree in the little snicket leading up to the pavilion.

This beautiful beaded top, left in the town hall on Friday night during the Race Horses gig. This was a donation from Judith last month.

Last of all this gold beaded bag, another Judith gem, left in the ladies toilets in the town hall on Friday night.

Llangollen Fringe Festival

This week With Love From The Artist is in North Wales, at the annual Llangollen Fringe Festival.
I'm exhibiting some of the existing images in The International Pavilion where there's loads going on this week including performances from Gallops, Y Niwl, Racehorses, The Buzzcocks.

Here are the first few bits and bobs I've left in Llangollen this week:
Kicking off this bright orange vest top with lacy bust bits, left on cast iron railings by the Town Hall.

Next a pretty pink and white flowery scarf, left tied to a bench by the fudge shop next to the bridge.

Thirdly, this vivid red pencil skirt with a pleat at the front, left hanging over the path by the river, just near the Corn Mill pub. I really like the colour of this against the trees, you could actually see it from the other side of the river too.

Finally, this embroidered shirt left hanging in the foyer of the Pavilion itself, not far from my exhibition. This is a tad creased but still very pretty!
I'm going back up this afternoon to drop some more surprises off, come on Llangollen let's have some interesting replies!
